This is a really elegant piece, with the date '1817' and the initials 'RW' etched on the front and back, as well as some pretty flower etchings. There is a faint hallmark on the bottom and '95%'. My imagination tells me that this was a lady's hip flask and that she kept it in her skirts or purse for a restorative nip (or, perhaps to store some cologne)! The lid screws off.
