This bottle is a little slice of French history (okay, alcohol-related history!). It once stored Byrrh which is a famous French wine-based apéritif from the Languedoc Roussillon region, made of red wine, mistelle, and quinine . Created in 1866, its marketing and reputation as a "hygienic drink" meant that Byrrh sold well in the early 20th century.

The bottle has the word Byrrh etched on the glass on one side as well as on the steel case on the other side. It has a lovely old cork stopper. The hip flask shape and the bottle's history make this an interesting decorative piece.

Height (incl. stopper): 16.5cm
